Spring is all about new beginnings and fresh starts. Your home should reflect that. Here are some tips on how to get it done.
Replace your filters
Water, range, and air filters should all be replaced or cleaned every 3 to 6 months. Spring is the perfect time to clear out all that junk so you can breathe easy.
Test your smoke alarms
Safety first! Smoke alarms can be a life-saver. Take this seasonal change as a reminder to check them out. Replace the batteries if they aren’t working.
Check out your AC unit
Springtime means warmer weather. When did you last have a service check done on your AC unit? Now is a good time to get it serviced to keep you cool all spring and summer.
Wash your windows
Fall and winter probably did a number on the exterior of your windows. Want to see those trees and flowers blooming with clarity? Get them cleaned or do it yourself!
Clean your faucets and showerheads
Elements can build up in your faucets and showerheads over time. Remove them if you can and clean them. Try soaking them in a water/vinegar solution.
Scrub those baseboards
One of the highlights of spring cleaning…scrubbing baseboards! Dust and dirt builds up on baseboards over time. Want a real deep clean feeling? Scrub scrub scrub.
Check your lawnmower
The grass is always greener…in the spring. Want to keep your lawn looking fresh all season? Make sure that your lawnmower doesn’t need service.
Clean out your gutters
Autumn debris and howling winter winds can be a perfect storm for cluttering your gutters. Grab a ladder, put on some gloves, and get those gutters cleared for April showers!
